The following is a bio of a former employee/consultant

As Principal Economist, Diane Lim develops, conducts, and communicates research as part of The Conference Board’s economics and human capital practices. She studies and speaks on a wide variety of topics with particular focus on the role of public policy in influencing economic behavior and outcomes, and particular interest in trends in labor markets, consumer demand, and household demographics, working in collaboration with other researchers.

Diane takes a lead role in communicating, promoting, and leveraging The Conference Board’s work through her presentations to members and other audiences, media interviews, blogs and other social media, and her frequent interactions and collaborations with other economic experts and thought leaders.

Before joining The Conference Board’s economics and human capital teams, Diane served as Vice President of Economic Research at the Committee for Economic Development (CED), the public policy arm of The Conference Board. She has spent her 30-plus year career in a variety of prominent roles in the federal government, and nonprofit and academic sectors. In addition to her work for The Conference Board, she currently teaches courses in behavioral economics and tax policy as an adjunct professor at George Washington University and Georgetown University and serves on the advisory board of the Frank Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy at the University of Virginia. She is a past president of the National Tax Association.

Diane received her PhD in economics from the University of Virginia, her master’s degree from Brown University, and her bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan.
