Elizabeth is a solicitor, and she has a Masters Degree in International Law from Bristol University. For the last 20 years, Elizabeth has specialized in professional ethics and business policy with reference to multiple sectors, on behalf of the Law Society, Gambling Commission, OECD, and Prosperity Directorate of the Foreign & Commonwealth Office. Elizabeth worked on implementing the post-crisis recommendations for financial services made by the Parliamentary Commission on Banking Standards. She is now Head of Corporate Governance for the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, where she leads public policy and thought leadership work related to corporate governance. Her specialist areas include executive pay, corporate governance and stewardship codes, and directors’ duties.
