Professor Piero Formica is Founder of the International Entrepreneurship Academy and Senior Research Fellow at the Innovation Value Institute – National University of Ireland, Maynooth, where he leads an international research team on experimentation of high-expectation start-ups. He is also guest international professor of Knowledge Economics and Entrepreneurship at the King Saud University, Riyadh, the Faculty of Entrepreneurship - University of Tehran, the Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, the University of Tartu, Estonia and the Luiss Entrepreneurship for Development-LED, Luiss Business School, Rome.

He serves as board member of Industry & Higher Education, the International Journal of the Knowledge Economy, the South Asian Journal of Management and the Journal of Global Entrepreneurship Research.
