Frequently Asked Questions
What are Continuing Education Credits?
Many executives have professional certifications they need to maintain by earning a certain number of credits per year. The Conference Board offers several types of credits for conferences, seminars, webcasts, and council meetings to enable our members to easily fulfill their continuing education requirements while participating in our programs.
Which Conference Board programs offer credits?
You can see a full listing of our upcoming programs and which credits are offered, from The Conference Board website by clicking the "Earn Credits" icon from any Center webpage.
Programs are selected based upon the topics covered and the requirements of the individual credential providers.
How can I earn credits?
- Live Webcasts: For pre-approved programs, you must be registered for the event and logged in for the entire program (minimum 50 minutes). For some credit types, additional attendance verification is needed: You may also need to respond to attendance verification polls throughout the webcast. Request credit via the link provided during the event, or registration form. You will receive your certificate via email within 1-3 weeks.
- Virtual Events: You may download a proof of attendance certificate upon completion of each session within the platform. For some certifications, you may use this to self-apply for credit directly with your certification provider. This is available for live and on-demand recordings.
- In-Person Events and Seminars: Make sure to check-in each day of the event on the onsite event app. You will receive a verification or certificate via email within 1-3 weeks.
How will I receive my credits?
You will receive an email verification or certificate within 1-3 weeks of the program. You can then claim credit with your credential provider.
What if I need another type of credits not offered?
We can provide you with proof of attendance as well as the detailed program agenda so that you may apply for credit directly with your credential provider. (Check your recertification rules for program requirements.)
How can I obtain a general proof of attendance?
You can request this via the credit request link on virtual events, or the on-site event app for in-person events.
