March 28, 2023 11:00 AM ET - 12:00 PM ET | Virtual Meeting
In this Experts Live, we will discuss select findings from our latest US consumer research, specifically focused on the downturn, inflation, secondhand shopping, and what people do—and buy—to stay happy.
Do US consumers see a recession coming—or think it’s already here? Are they concerned about their job? We will also cover their perception of the price development of essential and discretionary product/service categories, expectations about price developments, and which product/service categories cause the biggest financial challenges.
Moreover, we will look at what secondhand categories US consumers are buying—from clothes to electronics to furniture—and which are experiencing the biggest boost. And lastly, we’ll share how people’s physical, mental, and social health has changed since the beginning of the pandemic, and how their lifestyle (cooking, exercising, socializing, etc.) and buying “small indulgences” (e.g., spa, clothes, ice-cream) has changed. Throughout the discussion, we will outline implications and opportunities for companies.
