Cities, businesses and the public are realizing nearly four years after the start of the COVID-19 pandemic that downtowns are now structurally different.  Office buildings average 50 percent occupancy levels, and central business districts do not have the economic vibrancy they once did. This is resulting in financial consequences for businesses, banks, municipalities, transportation agencies, and the public. This Experts Live discussion will involve sharing details on data, as well as our observations on these changing urban cores, and reflections on how businesses and communities can reimagine downtowns to be strong economic, cultural, innovative hubs.
