The Role of Talent Acquisition in Strategic Workforce Planning: Session One: Creating and updating strategic workforce plans

This working group will discuss TA’s role in strategic & operational workforce planning including creating and updating workforce plan (forecasting supply and demand); implementing HC analytics to manage TA data; working with organizational teams (HR, Operational, financial & legal teams) the C-suite and Board; managing TA capacity and structure; leveraging the insights and data from strategic workforce plans.

Short- and mid-term pipelines can be forecasted using labor market data. Reskilling, talent mobility, and candidate pools must all be utilized by TA leaders. The workforce model (on site, hybrid, and remote) must also be considered. Topics on the agenda included organizational ownership of strategic workforce planning, assessing the SWP methodology, and identification of internal and external supply inputs.
