With the Chinese Corporate Social Credit System expected to become fully functional, perhaps as early as 2021, MNCs in China need to understand the program and prepare for its implementation. While Chinese officials present the program as benevolent and designed to build trust and strengthen rule of law, the scope and workings of the system are murky. 

In this Deep Dive Exchange of The Conference Board, members assessed what we know to date about the program and debated how it might impact the China playing field and the MNC operating environment.
