Measuring the Performance and Business Value of Product Stewardship

Measuring the Performance and Business Value of Product Stewardship was written with the support of the entire Product Stewardship and Regulatory Affairs Council membership and reflects their collective experience and expertise.

Product stewardship (PS) work has expanded significantly, driven by economic growth and increased expectations from governments, customers, investors, and other stakeholders.

This Council Perspectives provides an overview of programs that evaluate the performance and business value of product stewardship; components of a successful PS measures program; challenges in designing an effective program; recommended frameworks; and advice on data collection, analysis and reporting, benchmarking, and addressing intangibles. It aims to help PS leaders manage and improve the performance of their stewardship organizations and to help them communicate to their business leadership the core business value of investing in PS expertise and resources.
