Leveraging the Climate Transition Value Proposition -Workshop Deck Section 3

July 03, 2022 | Report

China's Climate Policy

China policy planning on climate transition is accelerating. Over the past 12 months, a rapidly growing number of government plans and policies related to China’s climate transition strategy have been released. While 2030 targets and pathways are relatively clear, China’s long-term transition plans are formative. Big gaps remain across a range of important areas, including the clarity about the scope of China’s commitment, the gaps in current targets and the Paris Agreement, and the data and measurement deficiencies. Business success relies on understanding and navigating shifting polices and pathways – ideally shaping them through proactive engagement.
