The 2010 U.S. Directors' Compensation and Board Practices Report

The 2010 U.S. Directors’ Compensation and Board Practices Report analyzes findings from a survey of 279 corporate secretaries administered by The Conference Board in May and June 2010. Unlike the last three editions of this report, compensation data is based solely on responses to The Conference Board survey as opposed to a larger sample of proxy filings. In this edition, companies are categorized according to three large business sectors (with the 22 industries of prior editions now aggregated into manufacturing, financial services and non-financial services), five revenue groups (for manufacturing and other services), and four asset value groups (for financial companies). This edition of the survey was conducted in collaboration with the Deloitte Center for Corporate Governance and the Society of Corporate Secretaries and Governance Professionals.
