Deep Dive Exchange Session Report: New Paradigms for CSR in China

On March 8, The Conference Board China Center convened member executives for its first Deep Dive Exchange meeting of 2018. Our thanks to HSBC for hosting the event. The meeting explored whether the improved policy clarity and bureaucratic orderliness under Xi Jinping means that CSR investing by MNCs can now be made more effective and impactful if it is aligned with “new era” policy priorities.

Alan MacCharles, a Shanghai-based consulting partner at member-company Deloitte, provided a keynote presentation on the topic. Ensuing group discussion generated many interesting factoids, case examples, and learnings, which are captured in the session summary document.
