In recent conversations with global HR leaders, digital transformation emerged as the topic of greatest interest and challenge. Specifically, we’re seeing the focus of concern shift from how technology can improve the delivery of HR services to what HR can do to add value to an organization’s broader transformation strategy.
This expanded scope reflects a widespread deficit: Only 10 percent of executives in our annual c-suite survey strongly agree that their leadership team has the skills and knowledge needed to realize the promise of digital transformation. Below, we feature a new report on the role of HR leadership in filling this gap. From shaping organizational culture to reimagining organizational design, from advancing new leadership models to advanced new data models, we map the myriad areas where HR’s contributions stand to be decisive for companies navigating the transformation challenge.
