This profile showcases Con Edison’s use of new social media technology (Facebook Live) to help the organization engage both employees (specifically union personnel) and the general public in emergency situations. The Hurricane Matthew restoration efforts offered an opportunity to introduce this new medium.
THE PROBLEM
Our challenge was to find a way to introduce Con Edison to Facebook Live that would address and engage the general public for social good and employees (specifically union personnel) in an emergency situation. We decided to use our Hurricane Matthew restoration efforts as the opportunity.
