Human Capital Center Newsletter (US) - August 2019

One month left of summer…time to think about how best to use the fall months to achieve this year’s goals and prepare for 2020! So two things I would recommend you plan for….

On October 2-3 we will hold our Future-Ready Organization Conference at the Westin Hotel at Times Square in NYC. This new international conference is the official event of our annual C-Suite Challenge™ Survey, which for 2019 is focused on how business leaders are making their organizations future-proof by balancing long-term vision with the agility to prosper in the tumultuous present. Join us to attend as many as 11 panels filled with senior business leaders, many from the C-Suites of leading organizations. I’ll be moderating a panel on The Future of Work and the Battle for Talent and will be joined by panelists Cheryl Hughes, Chief Human Resources Officer, Toyota North America; John Reid Dodick, SVP Culture, WeWork; and Sean Woodroffe, CHRO, TIAA. We’ll explore the skills shortage, identified as the top obstacle to being competitive in 2025, as well as the nature of work and the shifting role of HR.

And don’t miss our last Global Leadership Forecast webcast on August 13, 2019 at 10:00 AM ET on the topic of Collective Leadership: Leading for Value Across Organizational Boundaries, featuring Amy Lui Abel from The Conference Board and Micah Alpern from EY. It’s been a delight to work with thought leaders from DDI and EY on research and to offer these webcasts for additional impact. Register here.
