The Conference Board Economics Watch® Emerging Markets View

Growth momentum continues in emerging markets. The Conference Board Coincident Economic Index® (CEI) and The Conference Board Leading Economic Index® (LEI) remain in positive territory. However, the coincident indicators have yet to catch up to the stronger outlook suggested by the leading indicators. We expect emerging economies as a whole will improve somewhat and their GDP will grow 4 percent this year compared to 3.8 percent last year.
