Job Satisfaction 2020
September 14, 2020 | Report
In 2019, before the global COVID-19 pandemic, The Conference Board conducted its annual Job Satisfaction survey. The survey showed that overall job satisfaction had increased for the ninth consecutive year, climbing to its highest of 56.3 percent. Much of the improvement in job satisfaction in recent years was a result of the decade-long improvement in labor market conditions: satisfaction with components related to the labor market, such as job security and wages, improved more than other components. Because satisfaction is influenced by labor market conditions, the COVID-19 pandemic is likely to significantly change the trajectory of job satisfaction in the US.
