Traditional gender role allocation puts a large burden of responsibilities of “unpaid work” i.e., childcare, eldercare etc. on women. In Asia, gender inequalities are even more pronounced. With work from home being the norm for the foreseeable future, the impact on women could have serious implications for employee engagement and business continuity.  It is critical for organizations to better understand the challenges being faced by their female employees during COVID, and take proactive steps to support them.
