Instances of environmental, social and governance (ESG) activism by investors are on the rise. While some of these are guided by Investor Stewardship Codes, many investors are actively asking companies to adopt a more progressive and encompassing responsible business approach. It can be said that sustainability has become a major, mainstream governance topic.
Companies need to consider how to present themselves with respect to these matters. This raises some questions in relation to sustainability in the boardroom – what is expected of corporate boards and the role of enhanced governance, transparency and disclosure?
In this webcast, we will joined by David Katz and Hannah Saltman who will share some of their recent work in this field and their recommendations on how the board should lead in this important field.
