Li Wan was Vice President of Audi China responsible for Government Affairs, officially established as independent function with her arrival in 2019. Her main responsibilities were to develop the function and establish and expand cooperation with authorities, think-tanks, associations and chambers in China, in order to guide Audi China business strategy and development and to provide foresight to Audi global headquarters on risks and opportunities.
Prior to Audi China, Li worked for several US companies as head of Government Affairs. She provided strategic thinking and influence to proactively support top management in China and the home offices not only in planning but also in implementation. With her guidance, the companies successfully made multiple breakthroughs in predicting the regulatory trends, mobilizing resources to effectively mitigate risks, building credibility via constructive cooperation with key regulatory stakeholders, and achieving positive brand image in the marketplace.
In addition to Government Affairs, Li concurrently led other functions such as Strategy, Market Intelligence, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), and Business Development. Li was recognized by her employers for her experience, teamwork capability and strategic thinking, including selection for a global Executive Development Program.
Li has been an active member of AmCham China (American Chamber of Commerce in China) serving as Board Member at AmCham China for four consecutive years and Chair and Vice Chair for AmCham China Government Affairs Working Committee for six years. She also participated as a member of USCBC (US-China Business Council), EUCCC (European Union Chamber of Commerce in China) and multiple other US and EU industry associations, as well as an active participant in The Conference Board China councils.
Li was born and educated in Beijing.
