Gurpreet Grewal

Gurpreet Grewal (GG) is an experienced human capital practitioner with over 30 years of experience working across global financial institutions in Asia. GG’s expertise lies across the spectrum of HR strategic advisory but her passion lies in executive coaching to support leadership development and talent management.

After a successful career in global financial institutions like ABN Amro, RBS, HSBC and Assicurazioni Generali SpA where she was the Asia Regional Head of HR & Organisation for over 7 years, GG has recently opted to set up her own company based in Hong Kong. Her ambition is to support leadership development through executive coaching. Additionally she aims to work with HR leaders across organisations in Asia to drive strategic projects thereby enabling them to achieve their HR agenda – talent management being a key strategic priority.

A seasoned team player, experienced and comfortable in an international, matrix and multicultural operating environment, GG brings to the table sound knowledge and awareness of how large organisations function, challenges they face and experience on how culture can be transformed to nurture talent, thereby resulting in an inclusive organization that is more sustainable in the long run.

GG’s ability to influence critical stakeholders is a skill developed by virtue of being a qualified coach for over 10 years. She is also certified across various psychometric tools including Hogan and Harrison. Her ability to synthesise theory with the practical realities of business has helped her achieve the desired outcome for talent management in the companies she has worked for. She aims to fold and enhance this knowledge and experience while working with talented HR professionals in the Council.
