Lisa Hunter is a Senior Fellow and Program Director at The Conference Board. She leads the Compensation II and Executive Compensation II Councils, several Total Rewards-related conferences and regularly contributes to TCB research, publications, and briefings.
Throughout her career she has worked to provide practical insight and professional education in total rewards and human resources. Ms. Hunter has extensive corporate and consulting experience in compensation, human resource management and organizational effectiveness. She is the Founder and Managing Director of the Newport Consulting Group, Inc.; she advises clients on a range of issues including executive compensation and linking total rewards with business strategy. Prior to establishing the NCG, she held senior human resources management positions at Time-Warner, Simon and Schuster and Home Box Office.
She also has considerable teaching experience including serving as a Lecturer at the Columbia University, School of Professional Studies and Adjunct faculty and Technical Advisor at Cornell University ILR School’s Institute for Compensation Studies and the Scheinman Institute.
Ms. Hunter serves on JUST Capital’s Program Advisory Board and the Cornell ILRAA Board. She has also served on the Boards of: Kids' Club of Tarrytown and Sleepy Hollow; New Beginnings, an organization that assists the homeless in their transition to permanent housing; My Sister’s Place, an organization that assists victims of domestic violence; and the Hackley Parents’ Association.
Ms. Hunter is a graduate of Cornell University with a degree in Industrial and Labor Relations.
