Beth Simonetti is the Program Director for the CHRO I and CHRO II Councils of The Conference Board. She is a retired Chief Human Resources Officer with over 30 years of experience leading global companies through significant change and growth.

With over 50 mergers and acquisitions in her portfolio, Beth has developed particular expertise working with boards and executives to integrate and align leadership teams, organizational structures, compensation and talent management strategies.  She focused on driving strategic business goals, culture transformation, aggressive financial targets, ESG and DE&I objectives, while working closely with the CEO and board as a strategic business partner.

Most recently, she was the EVP and CHRO at TD SYNNEX, a $62B global technology business with over 23,000 employees in over 40 countries, Beth saw the company through numerous acquisitions, including the $10B Technology Solutions division of Avnet, followed by the purchase of Tech Data by Apollo Global Management and going back to public with the merger of SYNNEX. Beth brought her expertise to both public and private boards, working closely with the Compensation and Nominating & Governance Committees.

As the CHRO at Tech Data and then TD SYNNEX (a Fortune 100 Company), Beth attended all board meetings and actively partnered with the board on numerous highly sensitive executive issues including a CEO transition. She was also the lead advisor on executive compensation and worked with Compensation Committee members to complete a transition to a new independent executive compensation consultant, to implement a revised director compensation structure in addition to leading the executive compensation strategy through the transition from public to private equity and back to public.

Beth played a key role in board refreshment, executive recruiting, and diversity. She created a skills matrix and assessment process to assist the board in developing a board refreshment strategy and on- boarded several new directors. She has driven the creation of an increasingly inclusive culture and increasing representation of women and other underrepresented groups across the globe.

Beth was an integral part of the new TD SYNNEX strategy to transform its culture, including leading the Global Crisis Management Committee through the COVID 19 pandemic. She also participated as a member of the Retirement Investment Plan, Global Risk, Global Corporate (ESG) and Future Workplace steering committees.

Beth’s early career was leading HR through exponential growth at Cardinal Health, as they went from $3B to $65B in revenue and 3,000 to 65,000 employees over 12 years. And prior to her role with TD SYNNEX, she led HR for Baker & Taylor, a $2+B, privately held distribution business.

Beth received her BS from Miami University and her Master’s from The Ohio State University.  She has been the recipient of multiple HR recognitions including, Human Resources Person of the year in Tampa Bay and was a member of the Board of Directors of the Moffitt Cancer Center Hospital in Tampa, FL.
