Frank Steemers is an Economist at The Conference Board and his expertise is primarily in the analysis of the labor market in the US and other mature economies. Based in New York, he conducts statistical and descriptive analyses and contributes to labor market whitepapers, blogs, webcasts, and media engagements. He is one of the lead researchers of The Conference Board's wage, population, and labor shortages models, and he has as well been involved in the forecast of US economic growth. Steemers contributed to several key projects, including the reports US Labor Shortages: Challenges and Solutions, Global Labor Market Outlook 2019, and Blue-Collar Workers Shortages: Navigating a Business Environment of Higher Labor Costs.
Steemers received dual MA and MSc degrees with distinction in International and Development Economics from the Universities of Groningen (The Netherlands) and Göttingen (Germany). In addition, Steemers holds a BSc in psychology from the University of Groningen.
