The Conference Board® Global Consumer Confidence Survey Q2 2019

  • Publication Date:

Global consumers remain very confident. The Global Consumer Confidence Index increased by one point in the Q2 2019 over Q1 numbers. It has returned to 107 and is hovering at historic highs. Consumers in Asia Pacific remain extremely confident: China, India, and Indonesia serve as the main pillars of global confidence. Confidence eroded in Latin America. Looking ahead, rising uncertainties related to trade disputes and geopolitical imbalances may create a more volatile scenario in which consumers grow more wary of spending.
