Proxy Voting Analytics (2008-2012)

The report inaugurates an annual collaboration between The Conference Board and FactSet Research Systems Inc.; it examines data drawn from public disclosure about proxy voting among Russell 3000 index corporations registered with the SEC.

Data analyzed include:

  • Voting results of shareholder proposals on executive compensation, corporate governance, and social and environmental policy
  • Failed say-on-pay proposals and those that received the support of less than 70 percent of votes cast
  • Volume, dissident type, reasons for dissent, and outcomes of proxy contests
  • List of most frequent dissidents
