Euro Area economy improved at the end of 2016, but uncertainties to the outlook are rising

Amid market unrest related to some of Europe’s biggest banks, bank lending to corporations continues to improve, creating hope for higher investment rates in the coming months. Inflation also shows signs of life. Despite the good news for the end of 2016, we expect Euro Area growth to moderate in 2017 and significantly slow down in the UK.
