The Euro Area economy will continue to moderate through the end of 2018

July 11, 2018 | Report

With global growth plateauing and with ongoing trade disputes, it is unlikely that net exports will continue to be a strong driver of growth in the Euro Area. The deterioration in the outlook is already visible in the manufacturing sector, especially in Germany and Spain. Services activity will gain strength compared to manufacturing, but nonetheless, domestic demand may not fully compensate lower net exports.
