Business costs increase as the economic outlook moderates

Inflation reached 2.2 percent in October, not because the economy is heating up, but because of rising energy prices. Companies are likely to see input costs rising faster than their turnover this quarter. Meanwhile, the decline in global trade plays an important role in the Euro Area moderation and negatively affects the outlook for Germany in particular.
