The Future of Corporate Political Activity 

Earlier this month, the ESG Center held a Roundtable on The Future of Corporate Political Activity. We looked beyond this mid-term election year, to discuss the longer term environment, what it means for the future of corporate lobbying and contributions, and what companies can do to navigate and improve our political system. Here are just a handful of the key insights.  

• Companies will need to deal with an environment marked by polarization, mistrust, retaliation, and geographic division. When polarization is matched with a closely balanced electorate, it can lead to dramatic swings in policy with each election, which in turn creates uncertainty and
