The good news: US consumers recognize businesses are making a positive impact on sustainability, according to a new report from The Conference Board Marketing & Communications Center in collaboration with The Harris Poll.
In fact, nearly half of US consumers believe that utilities, technology, and food companies are making a big difference on sustainability. Even the clothing, financial services, and hotel industries, which rated the lowest, had 38% of US consumers viewing their sustainability efforts favorably.
The challenge: consumers want business to do even more.
