In the Wake of SolarWinds: How Boards and Management Can Effectively Address Unending Cyber Threats

On March 1st, 120 ESG Center members and invited guests attended an exclusive Center Briefing with experts from Latham & Watkins, Stroz Friedberg (an Aon Company), and General Motors on cybersecurity in the wake of SolarWinds. Here are some of the key insights from that session:

  • The SolarWinds attack made clear that in the future companies of any size can be targeted by state-sponsored hackers. This is especially true for companies in the software supply chain. Because mid-size companies often don’t have the resources to effectively address cyber threats, their larger customers and business partners need to increase their own efforts to address such attacks.
  • Companies can prepare for future state-sponsored attacks by taking some steps now:
