SECURE 2.0

SECURE 2.0 is the new pension legislation that was signed into law on December 29, 2022 as part of the year-end Consolidated Appropriations Act (CAA) of 2023. It builds on the Setting Every Community Up for Retirement Enhancement (SECURE) Act of 2019. SECURE 2.0 includes a large number of miscellaneous retirement savings provisions, which generally enhance opportunities for retirement savings. The overarching theme linking the various changes is a desire to improve retirement savings.
