The principle of product stewardship has expanded broadly in recent decades to encompass every nearly every aspect of a product's lifecycle, from development through its use and end-of-life management/disposal. Modern stewardship organizations are thus a vital part of a company's "societal license to operate." This Council provides Members with a forum to exchange ideas and best practices on how to lead companies through the evolving landscape of product safety for people and the environment, regulatory compliance, and product responsibility.
Chief sustainability officers are the primary members of this Council. Others will include vice presidents/directors of technology, research & development, strategic planning, and marketing who are engaged in developing products, services, and solutions.
