COVID-19, the war in Ukraine, and now risks of another global recession have all stretched leaders and forced them to develop new tools to lead through turbulent times. 

The events of the last two years have provided leaders with fresh insights into the skills they need to lead their teams through shock, crisis, and uncertainty. In the current volatile and highly competitive business environment, HC leaders believe that placing human-centric traits such as empathy and relationship building at the core of impactful leadership will be a long-term win-win for organizations—even though equipping leaders with the right skills can be challenging. Leaders also emphasize the need to execute speedily through mobilizing fluid teams, and the importance of enabling these teams through creating trust, freedom within a framework, and instilling a coaching-based team culture.
