Global Perspective: Seeking a News Business Model for Newspapers

A multiplatform, multiproduct business model must be pursued by the global news community if newspapers want to continue effectively covering their markets. But as news organizations work to offer consumers a digitally viable product, proponents of traditional newspapers are lamenting the death of them. At the end of 2008, the demise of several newspapers increased the debate over the industry’s future.
