The Conference Board Leading Economic Indexes® does not suggest any upward momentum in near-term growth in large emerging market economies. Consumer confidence remains high in Asia and is improving in Latin America, posing no major downside risk to the outlook. But the investment growth is likely to remain weak in China and India, and the outlook for export is quite uncertain.
