The Conference Board Economics Watch® Emerging Markets View

Growth momentum has improved in China lately, fueled by consumer sentiments and real estate activities. With the continued deterioration in global trade and subdued manufacturing outlook in China and elsewhere in the emerging world, there is little likelihood that this uptick will sustain. Global trade continues to contract, suggesting a challenging external sector that may remain a drag on the emerging market outlook.
