The Conference Board Economics Watch® Emerging Markets View

The Conference Board Leading Economic Index® (LEI) growth points to stabilization in China’s outlook and a moderate upturn in Brazil, but further worsening in India and Mexico. The manufacturing sector, which has been showing a slowing trend lately, shows no reversal yet. However, on the positive side, the manufacturing outlook for China and Mexico indicates possible softening in decline. India, the second-largest emerging market economy, has suffered from a significant downturn in growth lately and is now signaling further weakening in its outlook.
