Conducting an election that is secure, credible, and accessible is essential not only to ensuring public trust in elections but also to the position of the US as a global beacon of democracy. A strong democracy is essential to a strong market economy, and business leaders, as trusted members of their communities, have a key role to play in strengthening civic engagement and building resistance to disinformation. Policymakers and private sector leaders must act now to ensure that the 2024 election restores confidence in the nation’s most fundamental democratic process.
