Online Labor Demand Rises in October

The Conference Board®-Burning Glass® Help Wanted OnLine® (HWOL) Index rose in October and now stands at 108.4 (July 2018=100), up from 105.9 in September. The Index rose 4.4 percent from August to September and is up 6.2 percent from a year ago.

US Real GDP expanded by 33.1% (annualized) during the Q3 2020, following a 31.4% contraction in Q2. While this was the largest quarterly annualized jump in growth on record, the US economy remains 3.5% smaller than it was prior to the pandemic in Q4 2019.
