Leading Through Turbulent Times

Hard on the heels of the COVID-19 pandemic, leaders now face a new crisis triggered by Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. However, the events of the last two years have provided leaders with fresh insights into the skills they need to lead their teams through shock, crisis and uncertainty. In the current volatile and highly competitive business environment, HC leaders believe that placing human-centric traits such as empathy and relationship building at the core of impactful leadership will be a long-term win-win for organizations – even though equiping leaders with the right skills can be challenging.  Leaders also emphasize the need to execute speedily through mobilizing fluid teams, and the importance of enabling these teams through creating trust, freedom within a framework, and instilling a coaching based team culture.

In this webcast, Professor David Clutterbuck will provide practical actions that organizations can take to help their leaders lead effectively in this environment, and we will hear from Amit Mittal, VP HR Packaging at Tetra Pak about why and how it changed its leadership model just before COVID-19 and how the new leadership values were tested by the pandemic.

After attending this webcast, you will:

  • Better understand the radical change in leadership style, thinking and behaviors triggered by the pandemic and now affirmed by more recent global events
  • Identify the traits leaders should acquire and those they should let go of to lead effectively in a complex and volatile environment
  • Determine how to sustain the changes in leadership initiated by the pandemic and help leaders lead in these new ways
  • Learn about practical actions to move beyond to create a leadership ecosystem that enables both formal leaders and other employees to thrive as leaders
