Deloitte’s Center for Board Effectiveness, a member of The Conference Board Governance Center, has released its 2018 Audit Committee Resource Guide. It offers practical considerations and resources to help audit committee members execute their responsibilities by outlining regulatory requirements, questions to consider, and tools and resources available from governance organizations.

“The expectations of audit committees are higher than ever,” said Deb DeHaas, vice chair and managing partner of Deloitte’s Center for Board Effectiveness. “Shareholders rely on audit committees to maintain oversight while keeping up with increasingly complex financial reporting requirements and a changing regulatory landscape. Setting the appropriate tone at the top has never been more important for audit committees and boards as a whole.”

The guide is divided into three sections: Audit committee requirements and governance topics, The role of the audit committee, and Audit committee leading practices and trends.
