The global ESG disclosure landscape is undergoing a fundamental shift, driven by stricter reporting and due diligence regimes. More than 50,000 EU companies and 3,000 US companies will be required to comply with the European Union’s new comprehensive sustainability disclosure regulations, while even out-of-scope companies will be subject to increasing investor scrutiny and data requests from business partners. To stay ahead, large multinational companies must adapt their ESG reporting strategies to meet heightened stakeholder and regulatory expectations, while optimizing processes for efficiency.

This Roundtable Series will bring together ESG leaders and practitioners from the US and Europe, to share insights on shifting disclosure requirements and practical strategies for compliance. Held under the Chatham House Rule, these interactive sessions will provide a safe space for open discussion and knowledge sharing, to help you navigate the evolving reporting landscape effectively.

Session One: Building Trust Through Assurance

Ensuring the credibility of sustainability disclosures is essential for strengthening stakeholder trust and mitigating legal and reputational risks. This session will explore:

  • Limited assurance and reasonable assurance requirements
  • Key challenges, such as data accuracy and resource constraints
  • Best practices for reporting integrity and transparency
  • Managing stakeholder expectations
