The Conference Board Economics Watch® United States View

The domestic economy is growing modestly and should continue to grow fast enough to withstand near-term downside risks brought on by weak growth abroad and turbulence in financial markets – at least in the short term. In fact, consumers keep pulling the economy along, possibly extending well into 2016. Average GDP growth over the next few quarters may stay at about 2.5 percent.
