The 2010 Inc 500 Update: Most Blog, Friend and Tweet But Some Industries Still Shun Social Media

This new study revisits the center’s study of the Inc. 500’s social media use for the fourth consecutive year, making it a valuable and rare longitudinal study of corporate use of these new technologies. This research proves once again that social media has penetrated parts of the business world at a tremendous speed. It also indicates that corporate familiarity with and use of social media within the Inc. 500 has continued to grow in the past 12 months. This research shows the incorporation of new platforms including Facebook, Twitter, and Foursquare.

This report was originally distributed by the Society for New Communications Research, which officially merged with The Conference Board in January 2016.
