The Conference Board Economics Watch® United States View

Consumer spending remains a bright spot. Investment continues to be weak and we expect lack of clarity about Trump policy agenda to increase uncertainty. Nature of economic policy and composition of cabinet will help set expectations for short-term adjustments. In the medium-term, supply contraints will hold US economic growth on a roughly 2 percent growth path.
