Even Higher Expectations in a Post-2020 World: How Organizations Engage with Social Change Issues

Racism and gender inequity were ranked as the top two most important social changes issues across all generations of employees, according to recent research from The Conference Board. Similarly, among women and men, racism was ranked as the top social change issue. Women, however, were more likely than men to cite gender inequity as one of the three most important issues to them personally; gender inequity showed the largest gap between women and men—a 32 percent difference. The second largest gap was for unemployment, with men placing a higher importance on unemployment than women (a 12 percent difference).
