As New York City, the world’s financial and commercial capital, recovers from the pandemic, the City faces increasing competition from abroad and from rapidly growing US cities across the Sunbelt who are attracting an influx of businesses. To secure New York’s future as a world-class city, its traditional strengths as a global financial and commercial hub and cultural center of tourism and business convening must be reinvigorated.
