The CED Biannual Trustee Virtual Policy Summit: Fall 2023 was held virtually on November 15th, 2023 via Zoom.
The virtual Summit consisted of a series of 30-minute CED Trustee Briefings with special guests and a Trustee-only roundtable discussion on the leading geo-economic challenges facing the nation.
Guest speakers included: Senator Bill Cassidy (R-LA) on Saving Social Security; General David Petraeus, former CIA Director; and Chairman of KKR Global Institute, on Conflict in Europe and the Middle East; Stephen Hadley, former National Security Advisor of the US, and Principal at Rice, Hadley, Gates & Manuel LLC, on The US & the World; Lawrence H. Summers, former US Secretary of the Treasury and President Emeritus of Harvard University, on The Current State of the US Economy & the Road Ahead; followed by a Trustee-Only Roundtable Discussion on Navigating the Geo-economic Challenges.
